release. Immigration Equality then met with Ojo and obtained pro bono representation for him, which led to a full hearing on his asylum application in March, according to the organization. He lost in his effort at that hearing, but his attorney later obtained documentary evidence to corroborate his claim, Immigration Equality told the media. A motion to re-open the case was granted, and Ojo’s new hearing last week resulted in approval of his asylum request, according to Immigration Equality, which works on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and HIV-positive immigrants.
