Turkey’s Kaos GL, the organization said in a press release. Kaos GL advocates
on behalf of gays and also publishes a bi-monthly magazine covering Turkey,
the news release noted. Although the group hailed the addition of sexual orientation
to protected statuses in the nation’s Penal Code, it rebuked the same
government commission for refusing to protect the political, social and economic
rights of gays, Kaos GL said in the press release. Gays are not included in
Turkey’s “equality section,” the group noted.
