Troy Perry, moderator of the MCC, to attend the AdoptUSKids National Adoption and Foster Care Recruitment held in Washington last week, the Web site reported. Before the summit, Perry told the media, “We welcome this positive overture by the Bush administration.” According to Perry, the invitation acknowledges the increasing number of gay and lesbian parents across the nation. “Perhaps this is an affirmation of what we have long known: Gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons make outstanding parents and create warm, loving, caring families,” Perry told reporters.
