“The court was right to conclude there is no fundamental right to same-sex ‘marriage,’ but to characterize marriage as just another option along with other ‘unions’ makes marriage meaningless,” said Glen Lavy, senior counsel at the Alliance Defense Fund, which filed a brief in the New Jersey case arguing against same-sex marriage.
