Ancient Egypt’s Place in the Sun,” spotlights the city of Tutankhamun’s childhood. The installation, also curated with Silverman’s help, features more than 100 artifacts that date to the time of Tutankhamun and offers a rare look at the meteoric rise and fall of this unique royal city. The organizers have developed a year’s worth of innovative programming about the history and culture of Egypt, including lectures and guided tours of the museum’s permanent Egyptian collection.

More information about visiting Philadelphia, including special hotel packages and other Tut-inspired activities, is available at www.gophila.com.
