source told the Blade this week that in Dean’s deposition in the case, he denounced the Blade as “the Fox News of gay journalism.”

This is what happens to gay people who challenge Democrats to be better on our issues. Dean and others at the DNC have derided the Blade as right-wing birdcage liner. Both criticisms are absurd; no fair-minded person could reasonably consider the Blade a conservative publication and judging by the innumerable references to the Blade in the Hitchcock case depositions, DNC officials spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about what we write. They may line their birdcages with our pages, but not until they’ve read them cover to cover.

If the Blade is the Fox News of gay journalism, then Howard Dean is the Gomer Pyle of politicians — a national laughingstock whose amateurish stewardship of the party puts the prospect of a Democratic victory in November in doubt when it ought to be a slam-dunk.

From bigots in Oklahoma and cowards in Maryland to hypocrites in New York and petty hacks in D.C., this nation’s politicians prove again and again just how out of touch they are with the people they are supposed to represent.

Finally ! I am so sick of lgbt people who are either so invested in maintaining their own access, or have just drunk too much of the Kool-Aid to admit that the steaming pile of hyprocrisy in the middle of the room was laid there by Democrats. No doubt people like Sally Kern and Don Dwyer have a special ring in hell reserved for them. But the ring right below is reserved for those who take our money, take our votes, make weasel-worded protestations about "equality for all" and then assert that WE are the ungrateful obstructionists for simply asking them to keep their promises.

What is even crazier, members of our community are verbally attacking each other in support of candidates who do NOT support full equality. "God, protect me from my friends. I will deal with my enemies alone."

It is absurd to think that the Blade is any where close to being a conservative paper. It is absolutely and unequivocally a liberal rag. It heartens me to see that at least three liberal queers are finally seeing the forest for the trees!

With more attention than ever in a speech that was broadcast live, in its entirety, on some networks, Barack "Talks About LGBT Rights All The Time" Obama spoke of wanting to "build a coalition of" Whites - check Blacks - check Hispanics - check Asians - check Native Americans - check Women - check Young - check Old - check Rich - check Poor - check Veterans - check LGBTs - ? Hello? He chose to "talk about" Race relations – check Health care - check Education - check Jobs - check Iraq - check Veterans - check LGBT equality - ? Escalating hate crimes - ? Hello?
