In
the
past
week,
the
GLLU
responded
to
or
assisted
in
the
following
cases:
•
A
man
at
a
party
on
Grant
Street,
N.E.,
yelled
verbal
threats
and
homophobic
epithets
to
police
responding
to
a
loud
party
call
on
Saturday
about
10:30
p.m.
The
individual,
whom
police
did
not
identify,
was
arrested
but
resisted.
Police
used
pepper
spray
to
bring
the
man
under
control.
No
injuries
were
reported.
•
A
gay
man
reported
being
assaulted
by
his
boyfriend
on
Monday
about
4:20
a.m.
in
the
200
block
of
Massachusetts
Ave.,
N.W.
He
flagged
down
public
safety
officials
at
Georgetown
University
Law
School
who
said
the
man
had
a
minor
scratch
and
torn
shirt.
The
boyfriend,
whom
police
did
not
identify,
was
arrested
on
Massachusetts
Avenue
without
incident
and
was
charged
with
assault.
•
A
man
said
he
was
called
homophobic
names
and
bumped
at
Yum’s
Carryout
at
the
intersection
of
14th
and
P
streets
on
June
19
about
2:15
a.m.
No
arrests
were
made
as
police
could
not
corroborate
the
man’s
claims.
•
GLLU
officers
assisted
with
the
arrest
of
a
transgender
person
who
was
charged
with
“failure
to
appear”
on
Monday
about
7
p.m.
•
A
home
safety
inspection
was
conducted
on
Sunday
on
Blagden
Avenue,
N.W.
GLLU
officers
conducted
the
inspection.
• A
man
whom
police
did
not
identify
was
charged
with
driving
while
intoxicated
on
Sunday
about
2
p.m.
at
the
intersection
of
18th
and
P
streets,
N.W.
Police
were
alerted
to
the
suspect
by
a
man
who’d
been
in
a
car
accident
with
the
suspect
moments
before.
Police
found
the
man
under
the
influence
of
alcohol
or
other
drugs
and
in
possession
of
an
open
container
of
an
alcoholic
beverage.
•
A
gay
man
told
police
on
Sunday
about
7
p.m.
that
his
boyfriend
had
hired
someone
to
kill
him.
GLLU
officers
conducted
an
investigation
at
the
man’s
house
on
the
1700
block
of
9th
Street,
N.W.
They
determined
that
he
suffered
from
mental
illness
and
no
threat
was
imminent.
•
A
gay
Virginia
man
contacted
GLLU
officers
on
Tuesday
with
a
request
to
help
them
locate
his
ex-boyfriend
whom
he
believed
was
in
Washington.
No
report
was
made
because
police
did
not
determine
that
the
alleged
ex-boyfriend
was
in
danger.
