Weathering the recession, mastering media relations and new business development will be discussed Saturday at the GLBT Economic Development Summit.

The gathering, set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Madison Loews Hotel in downtown Washington, is billed as the premier event for gay business leaders and professionals.

Sessions include a look at doing business with the government, moderated by Kate Karasmeighan of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce; strategic business management, moderated by Kenneth White of M&T Bank; and online marketing, moderated by Lynne Brown of the Washington Blade.
