Lily Tomlin at the Lyric

Lesbian comedian and actress Lily Tomlin will perform tonight at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore. Tomlin will bring a bevy of characters with her, including telephone operator Ernestine and 6-year-old terror Edith Ann.

The “Laugh-In” alum has won various awards for her performances, including a Tony Award for “The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe” in 1986, a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album for “This Is a Recording” in 1972 and a few Emmys for writing on her comedy specials. More recently, she starred as a deranged therapist in “I Heart Huckabees” and received a Dr. Susan M. Love Award for her contributions to women’s health.

The show begins at 8 p.m. The Lyric Opera House is located at 140 W. Mount Royal Ave. in Baltimore. For more information, call 410-685-5086.

Be Charitable

The D.C. Center and Youth Pride Alliance will be hosting a fundraiser at Be Bar on April 12. Ten percent of proceeds from the bar will benefit the two organizations.    

Youth Pride Alliance is a small volunteer organization that annually puts on Youth Pride Day and other events for the younger LGBT community.

The evening will also include a raffle. The organizations will be giving away two tickets to see Kathy Griffin live at Merriweather Post Pavillion on June 25.

Be Bar is located at 1318 9th St., N.W. The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m.

Victory Fund brunch

Tickets are now available for the Victory Fund’s ninth annual champagne brunch, which will take place April 19. The Victory Fund is a political action committee that provides financial and campaign support to gay and lesbian political candidates.

The brunch will feature appearances by newly elected and openly gay Congressman Jared Polis (D-Colo.) and Speaker of the New York City Council Christine Quinn, a lesbian.

In addition to the meal, there will be a silent auction. To donate an item to be included in the auction, contact Martin Espinoza at 202-449-1327.

The brunch will be held at the Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Ave., N.W. The reception and auction begin at 11 a.m. with the brunch following at 11:45. Tickets are $125 and may be purchased in advance at victoryfund.org.

Jennifer Hudson and Robin Thicke

R&B singer and actress Jennifer Hudson will appear in concert at D.A.R. Constitution Hall Sunday with co-headliner Robin Thicke.

Hudson’s reputation exceeds her first spot in the public eye as a contestant on “American Idol” in 2004. Since then, she starred in “Dreamgirls,” which gained her an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She has also won a Grammy for Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut, which came out in 2008.

Singer and songwriter Robin Thicke has opened for Beyonce and has released three studio albums, including last year’s “Something Else.”

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. D.A.R. Constitution Hall is located at 18th and C streets, N.W. Tickets are $64 and $74.
