Members of the Stonewall Democrats of Central Maryland’s political action committee have elected their first board of directors.
Elected on May 6 were President Alice Kennedy of Baltimore, Vice President Joseph Smith of Havre de Grace, Secretary Mala Malhotra-Ortiz of Aberdeen and Treasurer Mike Natchuras of Baltimore. Five at-large members also were named: Poppy Crowe, Jodi Kelber-Kaye, Genya Shimkin, Katrina Elaine Smith and J. Carver Struve. All live in Baltimore.
The term for all board members began following the elections and runs until February 1, 2011.
“I’m very grateful to everyone who stepped up to run in this crucial first election,” Kennedy said in a statement. “Our members have elected a board with diverse skills and talents to lead the PAC through our first election cycle. Now, we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work as quickly as possible so that we can have an impact on elections in 2010.”
