Virginia state Del. Adam Ebbin has received the Legislative Hero Award from the Virginia League of Conservation Voters. The award was bestowed for “his 100 percent pro-environment voting record during the 2009 General Assembly session.”


National Stonewall Democrats recently named two people to newly created staff positions. Jenna Lowenstein is the director of communications and online organizing; Kyle Bailey is the chief operations officer.


Veteran gay rights activist Frank Kameny will receive the National LGBT Bar Association’s 2009 Dan Bradley Award. Described as the group’s highest honor, the award recognizes Kameny’s “trailblazing work on behalf of the LGBT community.”

Re:  the Frank Kameny award.  If the National LGBT Bar Association wants to do something nice for him they could buy him a gift certificate for some serious dental work or dentures.  Nasty.
