Three indicted in Robert Wone case
Price, Zaborsky, Ward face obstruction of justice charge

A grand jury has handed down an obstruction of justice indictment against three gay men who were under investigation for the August 2006 murder of Robert Wone, a prominent Washington attorney.
The indictment, released Thursday by the United States Attorney’s office, charges that Joseph Price, Dylan Ward, and Victor Zaborsky “corruptly obstructed and impeded” the criminal investigation into Wone’s murder.
Channing Phillips, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s office, said Price was taken into custody Thursday morning and was scheduled to appear in D.C. Superior Court later in the day for arraignment.
It was not immediately clear if Zaborsky was also arrested. Ward, who was previously arrested in connection with the case, remained in custody.
Wone was found stabbed to death in a guest bedroom in a townhouse on Swann Street, N.W., where Price, Zaborsky, and Ward lived in August 2006.
The three men have said they believe an intruder killed Wone after entering the house through a rear door while they were asleep in their bedrooms.
Investigators, however, have said that crime scene evidence made it unlikely that an intruder entered the house on the night of the murder. Police arrested Ward last month for obstruction of justice in connection with the murder.
At the time of his arrest, authorities released a detailed, 14-page affidavit that alleges Wone appeared to have been restrained, drugged and sexually assaulted before someone stabbed him to death.
The affidavit says Price and Zaborsky also engaged in obstruction of justice in the case, but authorities did not say why they only initially charged Ward with that offense.
The indictment Wednesday of all three men says that the grand jury was convened Oct. 27, indicating that authorities planned all along to bring charges against Price and Zaborsky.
The U.S. Attorney’s office did not immediately release information on when Ward and Zaborsky would appear in court for arraignment.
