An aide of Rep. Ellen Tauscher (D-Calif.) has said she will introduce legislation today to overturn "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," the ban against gays and lesbians serving openly in the military, according to The Politico. Tauscher is the lead sponsor of the MIlitary Readiness Enhancement Act.
President Barack Obama has said he supports the repeal of the ban, but that efforts to do so will be delayed because of the economic crisis. Last month, Obama said that more analysis was necessary before the repeal.
